{"id":743026,"date":"2012-06-15T20:21:33","date_gmt":"2012-06-16T00:21:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thekaufmannpost.net\/?p=3231"},"modified":"2012-06-15T20:21:33","modified_gmt":"2012-06-16T00:21:33","slug":"job-transition-heading-to-the-revenue-watch-institute","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.com\/index\/743026","title":{"rendered":"Job Transition: heading (to) the Revenue Watch Institute"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/thekaufmannpost.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/RWI-logo.png\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-3234\" title=\"RWI logo\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/thekaufmannpost.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/RWI-logo-300x205.png?resize=259%2C188\" alt=\"\" width=\"259\" height=\"188\" \/><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0I wanted to quickly share the news with fellow bloggers and readers on\u00a0my upcoming job transition, to take place in the early fall.\u00a0\u00a0 At that point I will head the <a title=\"Revenue Watch Institute (RWI)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.revenuewatch.org\/\" ><em>Revenue Watch Institute (RWI)<\/em><\/a> and will cease being\u00a0a resident fellow at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.brookings.edu\/experts\/kaufmannd.aspx\"><em>Brookings<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I am mindful that nowadays\u00a0improved governance of oil, gas and minerals is <em>the<\/em> critical development challenge for dozens of countries around the world.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 So\u00a0it is such a privilege to be asked to lead Revenue Watch, an\u00a0organization with great people which plays a key role in promoting policy reforms and transparency by governments and corporations in the natural resource sector&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"more-3231\"><\/span>I am excited about this opportunity and challenge.\u00a0\u00a0I am also aware of the\u00a0sizeable shoes that I have been asked to to fill.\u00a0 <a title=\"Karin Lissakers bio\" href=\"http:\/\/www.revenuewatch.org\/about\/staff-bios#Lissakers\" ><em>Karin Lissakers<\/em><\/a>,\u00a0the current RWI President\u00a0has been a terrific leader of an organization already operating in dozens of countries and making a difference in policy reform advise and advocacy.<\/p>\n<p>RWI&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.revenuewatch.org\/news\/press_releases\/daniel-kaufmann-become-president-revenue-watch\" ><em>official announcement<\/em> <\/a>about this transition is <a title=\"Kaufmann President RWI announcement\" href=\"http:\/\/www.revenuewatch.org\/news\/press_releases\/daniel-kaufmann-become-president-revenue-watch\" ><em>here<\/em><\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0 I will still\u00a0contribute some new work from Brookings until mid-September, when I move to RWI.<\/p>\n<img src=\"http:\/\/feeds.feedburner.com\/~r\/thekaufmannpost\/~4\/mEBBx1Wulpc\" height=\"1\" width=\"1\"\/>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0I wanted to quickly share the news with fellow bloggers and readers on\u00a0my upcoming job transition, to take place in the early fall.\u00a0\u00a0 At that point I will head the Revenue Watch Institute (RWI) and will cease being\u00a0a resident fellow at Brookings.
