On Friday, though, Ricky Gervais launched his <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/rickygervais\">new YouTube channel<\/a>, which will feature new clips by &#8220;David Brent,&#8221; his British\u00a0<em>Office<\/em> character, as well as non-<em>Office<\/em>-related content.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/rickygervais\"><br \/> <\/a><\/p> <p>&#8220;Working with YouTube is a fantastic opportunity for new content to be made available without the limitations of schedules and international restrictions,&#8221; Gervais said in a statement (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.deadline.com\/2013\/03\/ricky-gervais-makes-deal-to-hatch-original-content-for-his-youtube-channel\/\">via Deadline Hollywood<\/a>). &#8220;Viewing habits are changing. And anyone who doesn&#8217;t realize that will be left behind.&#8221;<\/p> <p>Gervais&#8217;s new channel is part of a multi-million-dollar push by YouTube to offer more original content on its platform.
