Though the entry didn\u2019t win the competition, their proposal definitely is sustainable and can reduce energy consumption. <\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.instablogsimages.com\/images\/2010\/04\/21\/beaux-arts-expansion-musee_2_U7WQe_69.jpg?w=780\" alt=\"beaux arts expansion musee_2\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The proposal includes large day lighting windows and a sweeping dramatic form. Designed in collaboration with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fugerearchitectes.com\/\">Fug\u00e8re Architects<\/a>, the museum is centered on the creation of two large facades conceived as large windows that can allow daylight to penetrate to reduce demand for artificial lighting. <\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.instablogsimages.com\/images\/2010\/04\/21\/beaux-arts-expansion-musee_3_o387z_69.jpg?w=780\" alt=\"beaux arts expansion musee_3\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Moreover, the roof lines connect to the ground and extend the park onto the building itself allowing visitors to take a stroll on it.
