Keeping the trend started by the G1, the myTouch Slide will be available in a variety of colors. The standard black and white but this time around merlot has been replaced in favor of red. \u00a0If you\u2019re a fan of the optical trackpad, it will make an appearance on the device along with a few capacitive buttons and a new \u201cG\u201d button.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6712\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/cdn.androidcommunity.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/mtslide_540b.jpg?resize=540%2C272\" alt=\"\" width=\"540\" height=\"272\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"more-6711\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-6713\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/cdn.androidcommunity.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/genius_g.png?resize=276%2C261\" alt=\"\" width=\"276\" height=\"261\" \/>And that brings us to the something new. Apparently T-Mobile has added the \u201cG\u201d button which has its own Android app. T-Mobile trademarked this G button back in March. The folks over at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.androidguys.com\/2010\/04\/12\/genius-button\/\" >AndroidGuys<\/a> have uncovered a picture of the trademark; nobody knows what this app will do. Hopefully it does something really cool unlike most carrier specific apps. Will this button an app be included in future Android offerings from T-Mobile?
