{"id":709998,"date":"2010-04-06T13:17:38","date_gmt":"2010-04-06T17:17:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wmpoweruser.com\/?p=15111"},"modified":"2026-10-04T12:04:48","modified_gmt":"2026-10-04T16:04:48","slug":"htc-expected-to-double-sales-in-2011","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.com\/index\/709998","title":{"rendered":"HTC expected to double sales in 2011"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; margin: 0px 0px 0px 15px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px\" border=\"0\" align=\"right\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wmpoweruser.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/08\/htcambition1.jpg?resize=240%2C175\" width=\"240\" height=\"175\" \/>According to \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.digitimes.com\/news\/a20100406PD214.html\" >market observers<\/a>\u201d, HTC is expected to double sales in 2011, from 11.7 million handsets in 2009 to 20-25 million in 2011.<\/p>\n<p>While HTC has recently said <a href=\"http:\/\/online.wsj.com\/article\/SB10001424052702304601604575161073458679164.html?reflink=barrons_redirect\" >US seems to be their fastest-growing region<\/a>, HTC expect sales of its handsets to grow from 1 million in 2009 to 4-5 million in 2011, courtesy of there Dopod subsidiary there.<\/p>\n<p>Peter Chou said HTC will cooperate with China Mobile to launch six new handsets, with the first model, the Qualcomm Brew Mobile Platform (BMP)-based HTC Smart, to be available in May.<\/p>\n<p>HTC has just announced their Q1 2010 revenue, which at $1.19 billion, up 19.3 percent over the first quarter of 2009, with profits up $158 million vs. $154 million.<\/p>\n<p>HTC is currently finding it hard to keep the <a href=\"http:\/\/wmpoweruser.com\/?tag=htc-leo\" >HTC HD2<\/a> on the shelves in USA, and is expected to release their first <a href=\"http:\/\/wmpoweruser.com\/?tag=windows-phone-7-series\" >Windows Phone 7<\/a> handset later this year.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/gigaom.com\/2010\/04\/06\/htc-earnings\/\" >According to GigaOm<\/a> HTC\u2019s recent success makes it currently the fourth-largest smartphone maker in the world.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><script type=\"text\/javascript\"><!--\ngoogle_ad_client = \"pub-5933275406584824\";\n\/* 336x280, created 1\/7\/09 *\/\ngoogle_ad_slot = \"0551502062\";\ngoogle_ad_width = 336;\ngoogle_ad_height = 280;\n\/\/-->\n<\/script><br \/>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\"\nsrc=\"http:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/show_ads.js\">\n<\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>According to \u201cmarket observers\u201d, HTC is expected to double sales in 2011, from 11.7 million handsets in 2009 to 20-25 million in 2011.
