For all of this, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bestbuy.com\/site\/PlayStation+3+Starter+Bundle\/9999118400050000.p?id=pcmprd118500050000&#038;skuId=9999118400050000&#038;st=playstatoin%203%20console\">you pay only $394.97. <\/a>Trouble is, the <strike>controller and PS3 usually <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bestbuy.com\/site\/Sony+-+PlayStation+3+%28120GB%29\/9476952.p?id=1218115837227&#038;skuId=9476952\">go for $300. <\/a><\/strike> See update. <\/p>\n<p>Chris says:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>So far as I can tell&#8211; that&#8217;s an additional $94.97 for a &#8220;starter bundle&#8221; that includes a ps3 (valued at $299) and a hdmi cable&#8230;which I guess is valued at $95<\/p>\n<p>This may be a mistake, but knowing best buy it isn&#8217;t. I&#8217;m sure geeksquad recommends it. This is a new low for best buy.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> We defer to<a href=\"http:\/\/consumerist.com\/2010\/02\/mass-effect-2-shopkeeper-makes-fun-of-people-who-buy-expensive-cables.html\"> the Mass Effect 2 shopkeeper <\/a>for advice on this one. <\/p>\n<p>\n<strong>UPDATE: <\/strong>Commenters point out that the bundle comes with an extra controller, and the confusion is that there is only one pictured. The extra controller costs $54.99. This makes the HDMI cable $40ish. Worth it?
