Or at least they get to be the first ones to get their hands on their biggie-sized iPod Touches. Apple announced over the weekend that they&#8217;ve sold out of their first run of iPads and some folks won&#8217;t be getting their pre-ordered tablet thingies until after April 12, a full 9 days after the initial release date. <\/p>\n<p>Apple had initially promised an April 3 date for pre-orders, but they recently moved that to April 12 as &#8212; at least according to them, since they won&#8217;t release actual pre-order figures &#8212; demand outstripped inventory.<\/p>\n<p>Apple says that if you ordered earlier this month, you&#8217;ll still be have your ready-for-framing iPad on time.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/idUSTRE62R1NJ20100328\" >Latest iPad orders won&#8217;t ship until April 12<\/a> [Reuters]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We guess early birds truly do get the worm.
