If the Fashion Industry had its own flag, it would be waving at half-staff this Monday. Today marks the final shooting of ABC’s award-winning dramedy Ugly Betty<\/em>.<\/p>\n

After debuting to rave reviews and critical acclaim in Sept. 2006, a series of schedule changes and low ratings ultimately marked the beginning of the end of the show about a plucky girl from Queens working as an assistant in the Concrete Jungle of Manhattan’s fashion world.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

In January, ABC announced that the current fourth season of Betty<\/em> will be its last.<\/p>\n

“It’s hard for me to imagine what my life is going to be like after that last day,” <\/em>said series star America Ferrera, discussing the final day of shooting at press screening for her Dreamworks film, How to Train Your Dragon.<\/p>\n

“I’ve been doing (Betty) for the last four years, five days a week, 10 months out of the year,”<\/em> Ferrera explained, careful to remain mum on the details of the upcoming series finale. “I can’t tell you how it will finish, then you wouldn’t watch it,”<\/em> she remarked coyly.<\/p>\n

The final episode of Ugly Betty<\/em> will air next month.<\/p>\n
