General Motors yesterday announced that it will introduce a third shift at the Lordstown facility, a move supposed to help the US-based manufacturer keep up with growing demand for the Chevrolet Cruze. The third shift, which will add 1,200 jobs at the plant, is expected to generate $47 million in additional payroll, $470,000 in local income taxes and $1.4 million in state income tax, Mark Reuss, President of GM North America, said in a statement.<\/p>\n
