Former American Idol<\/em> Fantasia Barrino has been frightened into seclusion after being presented with a racist, threatening letter while going through fan mail in her dressing room this week.<\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n According to celebrity-themed website TMZ.com, the singing single mom had just wrapped up her performance in the stage production of The Color Purple<\/em> at Pantages Theater in Los Angeles on Friday when she opened up a letter peppered with threats of violence and racial slurs — including the N-word.<\/p>\n The phantom who penned the frightening note claims he used to work as a security guard for FOX during Fantasia’s reign on Idol<\/em> in 2004.
