Have no fear, Spiedi fans \u2014 Heidi Montag is safe and sound after a kidnapping rumor sent swarms of police and helicopters to the house the tone-deaf singer shares with hubby Spencer Pratt on Wednesday night.<\/p>\n

The 23-year-old “plastic surgery addict” used a scarf as a shield from the paparazzi while walking into her Los Angeles home. An eyewitness saw Heidi grew concerned at seeing Heidi covered and called the police to report a “possible kidnapping.”<\/p>\n

That turned out to be just a misunderstanding…<\/p>\n

“We’re grateful this was only a false alarm, and I just had my pink Hermes scarf over me,”<\/em> Heidi says. “A neighbor was concerned and called the police. We’re thankful to the LAPD for their response and making sure we were safe.”<\/em><\/p>\n
