{"id":624885,"date":"2010-01-08T11:08:07","date_gmt":"2010-01-08T16:08:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iqranews.com\/u-s-news\/austin-american-statesman-sports-live-2010.htm"},"modified":"2010-01-08T11:08:07","modified_gmt":"2010-01-08T16:08:07","slug":"austin-american-statesman-sports-live-2010","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.com\/index\/624885","title":{"rendered":"Austin American Statesman Sports Live 2010"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Texas coach Mack Brown planned to talk to Monroe and his family next week about his plans for the freshman when Brown returns from a recruiting trip, the American-Statesman reported, citing an athletic department spokesman.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;He&#8217;s extremely happy,&#8221; Monroe&#8217;s lawyer, Brian Roark, said, according to the Austin newspaper. &#8220;He is hoping to play in the national championship game and continue his career at Texas.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Monroe was suspended indefinitely after being arrested on a drunken driving charge in November, hours after a win against Baylor.<\/p>\n<p>Before missing three games, Monroe set a Texas record with two kickoff returns for touchdowns this season for the Longhorns.
