In a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.quattrowireless.com\/mobile_insight\/blog\/happy_new_year_from_quattro_wireless\" title=\"short post\">short blog post<\/a>, Quattro CEO Andy Miller says that&#8212;for now&#8212;the company&#8217;s offerings won&#8217;t change and its &#8220;client and support teams&#8221; will remain the same. Miller is joining Apple as VP of mobile advertising.<\/p>\n<p>By picking up Quattro, Apple is positioning itself to make money from the many ad-supported apps on the iPhone and iPod&#8212;and gets to counter Google&#8217;s recent $750 million <a href=\"http:\/\/moconews.net\/article\/419-google-to-acquire-mobile-ad-network-admob-in-750-million-in-stock\/\" title=\"purchase of AdMob\">purchase of AdMob<\/a>. No word (at least yet) on how much Apple is paying.
