Maya won the open competition to build the <a title=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Vietnam_Veterans_Memorial\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Vietnam_Veterans_Memorial\" >Vietnam Veterans Memorial<\/a> when she was 21 years old Yale student.\u00a0(a link to her studio <a title=\"http:\/\/www.mayalin.com\/\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mayalin.com\/\" >here<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>There is also a free iTune lecture by Maya, &#8220;MCASD\/SDMA 2008 Axline Lecture: Maya Lin&#8221;.
