He&#8217;s really been killing it with good posts lately. The &#8220;hippie capitalist&#8221; (he&#8217;s a musician who founded <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cdbaby.com\/\">CD Baby<\/a>) is a master at offering simple advice that delivers real impact.<\/p>\n<p>Some recent examples:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/sivers.org\/walkways\">Let pedestrians define the walkways<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/sivers.org\/1idea\">Present one idea at a time and let others build upon it<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/sivers.org\/futuretense\">The challenge: Don&#8217;t speak in future tense<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/sivers.org\/kimo\">There&#8217;s no speed limit. (The lessons that changed my life.)<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Prob my all-time fave essay of his is <a href=\"http:\/\/sivers.org\/multiply\">Ideas are just a multiplier of execution<\/a> (which was quoted in <a href=\"http:\/\/gettingreal.37signals.com\/\">Getting Real<\/a>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>His site also offers <a href=\"http:\/\/sivers.org\/book\">detailed notes on books he&#8217;s read<\/a> with a focus on titles about business, investing, and psychology. I&#8217;ve found those notes are a perfect match for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.instapaper.com\">Instapaper<\/a>, the iPhone app that lets you read web pages even when you&#8217;re offline and saves your place on longer pieces.
