{"id":355958,"date":"2021-04-09T14:42:57","date_gmt":"2021-04-09T18:42:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mereja.com\/index\/?p=355958"},"modified":"2021-04-09T14:42:57","modified_gmt":"2021-04-09T18:42:57","slug":"national-movement-of-amhara-says-its-member-was-killed-in-wenbra-district-in-politically-motivated-attack-in-benishangul-gumuz-regional-state","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.com\/index\/355958","title":{"rendered":"National Movement of Amhara says its member was killed in Wenbra District in politically motivated attack in Benishangul-Gumuz Regional State"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The National Movement of Amhara (NAMA) said its member Berihun Asferaw was killed in Wenbra District of the restive Metekel Zone in Benishangul-Gumuz Regional State.<\/p>\n<p>In a face book post, NAMA said as the movement\u2019s member and candidate, Berihun was running for a seat in the regional council before he was killed at in Beles town at a special place called Karbar.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe assassination was politically motivated and aimed at deterring the political party\u2019s activities in the region, NAMA\u2019s statement reads.<\/p>\n<p>NAMA strongly condemned the targeted killing and expressed grief over the death of its member.
