In September 2017 drought and intercommunal fighting uprooted her family; she sent her daughters to relatives so they could stay in school.<\/p>\n<p>At the Kologe II camp she advised other women on reproductive choices. A nurse, Shure, said more women were asking about spacing births. UNFPA noted that pregnancy risks rise in crises, while more than 200 million women worldwide who want to avoid pregnancy still lack reliable modern contraceptives.<\/p>\n<p>The report linked local counseling to broader debates ahead of a November 2019 Nairobi summit on sexual and reproductive health.
