According to the press release, the administration announced plans to demolish houses in five sub-cities which had been identified as illegal. Demolishing houses has been a very controversial issue in Ethiopia following the uproar from Legetafo Legedadi. In response to Takele Uma&#8217;s statement, Addis Ababa Baladera Council called for a press conference opposing the administration&#8217;s decision on May 29, 2019.
