A false rumour can turn a clinic visit into a death sentence within hours.

The case sits inside a wider Horn pattern in which medical teams have been attacked during outbreaks or research visits. It is not only a crime story. It is a warning about how quickly misinformation can erase scientific work.

Kept as health and science archive, the BBC file dates a named mob killing tied to a poison rumour and belongs beside later coverage of vaccine hesitancy and attacks on health staff.

Sources: BBC News

The rumour that led to medical researchers in Ethiopia being killed by a mob BBC NewsTwo scientists were killed by a mob in Ethiopia, who believed they went to a school to poison children.

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false

8

post-276377","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-ethiopian-news
https://i0.wp.com/mereja.com/index/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/health-stpauls-1280.jpg?fit=1280%2C720&ssl=1
["GET
