Before the recent reform, many journalists have been sentenced to years in prison for doing what\u2019s right. Journalists are obligated to a strong commitment to present the truth and support national growth and bring about social change. This loyalty to their profession didn\u2019t agree with the previous era of EPRDF that stripped their right to safety and persecution. However, PM Abiy Ahmed changed this when he started his term by freeing all journalists wrongly accused.
