The South Korean car maker is the second giant car manufacturer to sign a joint venture deal with the Ethiopian government this year.<\/p>\n<p>Renowned Ethiopian athlete Haile Gebrselassie, who owns the\u00a0Marathon Motors brand, was a guest at the opening of the Hyundai Motor plant. The CEO of Hyundai Motors, Mr. Won Hee Lee was also present at the ceremony along with Ethiopia&#8217;s Foreign Affairs Minister, Workneh Ghebeyehu.<\/p>\n<p>The Ethiopian government has signed some major deals recently in a bid to propel the country&#8217;s economy.
