Ethiopian Satellite Television and Radio (ESAT) celebrated its 8th anniversary at the Millenium Hall in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. ESAT viewers and families of those who fought alongside ESAT celebrated the day. ESAT was one of the media banned by the previous government. The banishment went as far as confiscating satellite dishes from homes of the viewers. Thus, today\u2019s celebration reflects the new dawn in Ethiopia and media freedom.
