One of the traditional conflict resolution mechanisms between conflicting parties in Ethiopia is mediation by religious fathers and community elders. This mechanism came handy in mediating the tension between Amhara and Tigray regions and their respective ruling parties, Amhara Democratic (ADP) and Tigray People Liberation Front (TPLF).
