About 1,500 Ethiopian refugees are currently seeking asylum at Al-Shuruq in Sudan&#8217;s capital Khartoum.<\/p>\n<p>People from Ethiopia, especially from the Amhara region, have reportedly been fleeing conflict and severe humanitarian conditions. There has been ongoing fighting between the\u00a0Tigray and Amhara ethnic group since November last year.<\/p>\n<p>The Sudanese government is allegedly considering closing its border with Ethiopia to avoid the clash spilling to the\u00a0country.
