The government of Ethiopia has said it plans to sell electricity to countries in the Persian Gulf.<\/p>\n
Ethiopia signed an agreement with the Gulf Electricity Interconnection Authority and International Energy Linking Organization (GEIDCO) on Saturday to conduct a feasibility study.<\/p>\n
Sileshi Bekele, Ethiopia’s Minister of Water, Irrigation and Electricity Engineer, welcomed the signing of the agreement. He noted that the deal would increase the connection between East Africa and Gulf countries.<\/p>\n
