The Monitoring and Verification Team (MVT),\u00a0which was made up of high-ranking military officials from Kenya and Ethiopia, were reportedly held for up to four hours during the incident.<\/p>\n<p>A statement from the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) said members of the MVT were physically assaulted, handcuffed, blindfolded, robbed and stripped of their clothing.<\/p>\n<p>The group consisted of three males and one female. The male members of the group were reportedly stripped to their underwear while the female MVT member was stripped naked.<\/p>\n<p>The officers, who attacked the group, reportedly warned them that the Luri Training Center belonged to the TGONU. The UNSC noted that the incident violates the peace agreement signed by both parties.
