American food giant Yum! Branads, Inc<\/a>. opens its first Pizza Hut restaurant in Ethiopia’s capital Addis Ababa. <\/p>\n

The opening event was attended by U.S. Ambassador to Ethiopia, Michael Raynor, Yum! Brands representatives, government officials, and special guests.<\/p>\n

Belayab Foods & Production PLC, the franchisee of Pizza Hut in Ethiopia, is planning to open a second location in the Bole Medhanialem neighborhood on Saturday, April 14th<\/sup>, according to Addis Standard. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re very excited for this milestone event,\u201d said Belayab Foods CEO and shareholder Michael Ghebru. \u201cWhile there are a few regional franchise restaurants in Ethiopia, Pizza Hut is the first global international restaurant franchise to enter the Ethiopian market,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
