From what I hear, China, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Russia are against it. They all have very strong interest in this . Let us give credit where it is due. Isayas has done his homework very well this time around. He needs to stop shooting in his own foot. From what I hear, the Emirates are trying to own Ethiopia’s economy ones for all. The Saudis are against it. Egypt knows very well that Ethiopia owning Assab is very dangerous to its own water security. Regional forces are at work.
