The so-called "Baladerra" group are Amhara tribalists. They say Addis Ababa belongs to Amhara and was founded by Menelik ( an amhara tribal chief). But there were Oromo villages when Menelik settled his Army around Fin Finne ( a small Oromo settlement), tha name of which is changed to Ful Wuha ( Hot Spring) by Amhara settlers.
Most suburbs in Addis Ababa had Oromo names. Thus Addis Ababa and surroundings were Oromo villages. What the Amhara say is different. The Oromos were invaders and has taken the land that belong to Amhara since 4th Century ( Aksumite times). This might be true that the villages around Addis ababa were under Aksumite kings. But there is alot of eventss between Aksumite times and now. People move from region to region. The Galla or now Oromo were pastoralists and moved from Southern and Weste africa to East Africa with their cattles.
Thus The Oromo have invaded Amhara and have taken their land by war. The Oromo or The galla were victorious and have put a loose administrative units befitting their pastoralist way of life. The Amhara elites argue that the Oromo have taken their ancetoral lands. But the oromo manged to win the war and take the land until Menelik challenged them in 1890. Before 1890, all the villages in Addis Ababa and surroundings seem to be under Oromo traditional adminstration.
The Amhara simply see themselves as heir to Ethiopia, as the new Menelik foot soldiers. Such stand has caused much damage and a lot of Oromos have been killed and imprisoned. The Amhara elites should see Menelik as a brute expanisionist as the cost of Oromo and other tribes. Thus the old village around Addis Ababa and Addis Abaa itself should be under Oromo adminsration.

The point is we should be objective in supporting this or that group. If you analyse the claims and counter-claims, the Oromo seem to be right. They were displaced by Menelik from Fin Finnee ( Addis Ababa).
We, Abyssinians are brainwashed by Menelik and Haile Selassie and are forced to see Oromos or Galla as West african migrants. Abyssinians think The Oromo/Galla are invaders and have to be deported to Kenya. But how can towns like Ambo and other towns not far from Addis ababa be ppopulated by Oromos? Amhara see Orromos as monkey or subhuman as they see other africans.
I think the Amhara elites are wrong and should give Addis Ababa to Oromos. The name of Addis Ababa should be Fin Finnee.

I think we have to be honest with Oromos. they were invaded by Menelik and displaces. Many became serfs and looted by amhara and tigray feudal lords ( though few).
Now the Oromo are asking for justice. We have to give tha lands that were under oromo back to them and the dividend will be peace. You cannot unite on the basis of injustice. The Oromo are forced to speak amharic in their own villages. Addis Ababa should be changed to Fin Finnee and the people should use Afan oromo as admnistrative language. If this is addressed then unitywill come as a voluntary union. If the Oromos are forced to forget their history and give up their lands to Amhara tribalists in the name of unity, then there will be war.

Please keep your crocodile tears to yourself.
We Oromos have more than enough intellectuals who can advocate for our people. You're a little too obsessed with us Oromos, it's weird. Yet we never talk about you. Hmmmm.
