Why does Eritrea you want to sabotage Tigray? Why use Assab, when you can travel through Mekelle to Asmara and Mtsiwwa faster?

Mekelle to Aseb 319 miles
Mekele to Mistwa 242 miles
Asmara to Asseb 473 miles
Mekelle to Asmara 198 miles
Mekelle to Djoubiti 483 miles


Thus it is easier for Eritrea to use the route via Mekelle or Aksum or Humora.
There should be some agreement between Eritrea and Tigray because they get the best economic benefit if they use the Mekelle -Asmara - Massawa route.
