The so called Ethiopian officials are illiterate Galla scavengers, War-torn landlocked Ethiopia doesn't have a short-range missiles let alone advanced air defense capabilities, One thing is for sure, Egypt will blow up the Ethiopian Renaissance Dam and war-torn Ethiopia won't be able to retaliate, The Nile water is a matter of life and death for Egypt.

Egypt relies on the Nile for more than 90% of its water.

Egypt's share of the nile river stands at 55.5 billion cubic meters per year right now and Sudan’s share is 18.5 billion cubic meters per year, And around 90 percent of the water that flows into the nile river and into the Mediterranean Sea comes from powerless war-torn landlocked Ethiopia through the blue nile, Egypt, with a population of 116 million people, is unlikely to settle for anything less than 55.5 billion cubic meters per year.

The 116 million Egyptians will never accept any equitable water sharing.

Egypt warns of dire consequences if GERD threatens security

Ahram Online , Thursday 3 Oct 2024

File Photo: Ethiopia's GERD. Photo: AFP

Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr Abdelatty said Anyone who believes that Egypt will turn a blind eye or tolerate a serious threat to its survival is mistaken.

According to the 1929 Nile Water Agreement, Egypt receives about 55.5 bcm of the Nile water, while Sudan gets 18.5 bcm.

Egypt’s annual share of water has reached 500 m3 per person annually — while the UN defines water scarcity as 1,000 m3 per person annually — and is more than 90 percent dependent on water flow from the River Nile, according to previous remarks by the Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Hani Sewilam.

Therefore, Madbouly said any new developments that could affect this share would lead the Egyptian state to handle the situation completely differently.

Of course the Nile water is an international river, It doesn't belong to war-torn landlocked Ethiopia, As a shared water resource, the development, utilization and management of the Nile waters is regulated by international water resources law, Not by poverty-stricken war-torn Ethiopia.

According to Sudan media outlets, Foreign Minister Ali Youssif said in a recent television interview that Sudan could side with Egypt if talks on the GERD fail and that the option of war remained open if an agreement ensuring the water rights of all three countries was not reached.

It's an open secret that Sudan would fight by Egypt's side if war breaks out between war-torn landlocked Ethiopia and Egypt, Ethiopia is currently politically and diplomatically isolated from neighboring countries.
