Assab is becoming a complete nightmare for Shabia. It is to be recalled Meles Zenawi and Isaias Afework colluded in cleansing dissenting voices and forces of Afar that resisted Shabia coerceful occupation of Assab, Awusa Awuraja of Wolo province. Just like TPLF cleansed Welqait and Raya Amhara, in Assab, Shabia and Woyane-Meles cleansed resisting forces of Afar and stole their land. Afar never recognized themselves as part of Eritrea, they never felt proud being Eritrean, they are unwelcome, they are taken hostages for the highlander Tigre and Tigrawai. For an Afar to be called an Eritrean is an insult - they lost hope and choice for they were sold down by Meles Zenawi without their will.

Asseb is a time bomb for little Eritrea.
Early on despite numerous advises the Eris didn’t handle it wisely. They thought it is their ticket to Singapore and prosperity by blackmailing Ethiopia.
It is also an ugly stigma or a mark of disgrace on the back of Tigray. Ethiopians will never forget.

My fellow Ethiopians smarten up and ignore Asseb. Don’t give a life support for the drowning Eris. Time will solve it. Time will bring justice for the Afar people and Ethiopia.
What Ethiopia should do is close the border and clean up Eris from Ethiopia.

Right now the focus should be in removing the PP fascist government.

what is the difference between the christian tigrays / tigre of Eritrea and Tigrai? both have deep seated issues with Ethiopians.
The more we ignore them the better and removing and closing the border should apply equally to tigrayes as well.

We are talking here about Asseb and strategies on how to deal with it. Asseb is a well placed time bomb.
All but the Eris seem no to get it. They tried with Donald Rumsfeld for the US to use Asseb free of charges and the Americans said no. So is Iran, Russia and numerous other countries. Because they know the danger. Ethiopia’s first step is to close the border and deport Eris. The next one is helping the Afar brothers to unite and claim their land.Do it with a slow pace.

Hey as of now Tigray is in Ethiopia. We all know they are hostile to Ethiopia and spoiled by the current government. But it is a dying province. You can’t close the border until they declare independence on their own. There too Ethiopia should have an effective strategy. Again use time as a means to resolve future crisis. Both Eritrea and Tigray will not survive demographically in 30 years.
