Lamu Governor Issa Timamy described the port as a game changer.

“It is up to us, residents, to take advantage of the opportunities that will come with this port to prosper economically,” he said.

Timamy said the Lapsset road connecting Lamu to Ethiopia through Ijara, Garissa, onwards to Isiolo and to Moyale, should be fast-tracked.

“It is our prayer that the road is completed on time to efficiently transport goods to Ethiopia,” he said.

This is the first time war-torn Ethiopia is importing 60,000 tonnes of fertiliser through Lamu Port and it will be the last time, Cash-strapped Kenya is very happy now but it will be very disappointed soon.

Good for Ethiopia. The more ports Ethiopia gets access to, the more we Eritreans love it. Because our only wish is for Ethiopia to forget us. But I wonder why Selam z Agame is so excited about it. What is Lamu to Agames?

Ethiopia is not really looking for a port but free of charge port, and this doesn't exist anywhere in the world except in the retarded Ethiopian brains. Ethiopia is used to free humanitarian food and it thinks everything is free! Somalia gave Ethiopia 19% stake in Berbera Port, but Ethiopia failed to meet the basic requirements for the acquisition of the stake.

Let them find ports wherever they want. They should just steer away from us - Eritrea nd Somalia - and we're better off.

Theoretically, Tegaru are indeed Ethiopians. But didn't they just a lose a most destructive war to prove they are not Ethiopians! They are only Ethiopians now because they have nowhere to go. But the idea that they celebrate just because the Oromos are now using a Kenyan port is a joke. As Meles once said, "What is Axum to an Oromo, ..." Didn't Adanech Abebe say, "Why don't they go if they want to go". It is about time Ethiopians stopped pretending that they have a united nation.

Selam z Agame

Do you mean it took 20 years to train Ethiopians to manage it? But why should an Agame feel proud about his master's ዲክ። Agames can't even own you own arses. Just wait for the white man to feed you.
