Let's get one thing straight. The TPLF is a mercenary group serving the interests of Neo-colonial powers in the Horn of Africa.

The removal of TPLF from power in Ethiopia was seen by the Neo-colonial powers as a "threat" to their interest, therefore they ordered TPLF's November 4th, 2020 attacks on the Ethiopian Northern Command forces, as well as the firing of rockets into populated areas of Eritrea.

They also shipped arms to the TPLF disguised as "humanitarian aid," but when the TPLF failed to return to power after sacrificing 1.5 million of Tigray's child soldiers, they removed Ethiopia from The African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) forcing over one million Ethiopians to lose their jobs.

PM Abiy, despite being inexperienced in dealing with major economic hardship imposed by outside powers, he has made controversial decisions in an effort to revive the economy and alleviate the hardship felt by millions of Ethiopians. It should be noted that PM Abiy inherited a heavily indebted nation saddled with $30 billion in foreign debt it cannot service the interest, let alone pay the principal, forcing him to make many unpopular decisions trying to stay in good standing with the creditors.

The effects of the last 2 years of mercenary war imposed on Ethiopia will be felt for decades to come, and decisions made today to prevent another round of war may not be pleasant ones, and they could easily be misunderstood, become unpopular and controversial, but removing the threat of war is necessary for the country to move forward.

Aby made a colossal mistake when he caved in to Mike Hammer's coercive diplomacy and signed the Pretoria agreement against the advise of PIA. Thanks to Aby's duplicity and wishy-washy stand, tplf even though dramatically weakned, it is still trying to rehabilitate itself . And, tplf hasn't abandoned its hostile campaign against Eritrea! The war between Eritrea and tplf is still going on...Eritrea can't afford for tplf be back to the horn political landscape. Eritrean will deter any tplf attemp to attack Fano from back while marching to Arat-kilo.

I didn't know that there is such an unholy marriage between the leftist "PIA" and the right extremist and archo nationalist so called "Fano", if it indeed existed, then yes indeed the break-up of such a marriage will be with far reaching consequences.

As for the sanctions on eritrea they were imposed by the west the United Nations the United States the uk and the European Union not because of the power of agames . The agames just played it well because of the misfunctions and the bad policy of afewerki. Who on his right mind would support Somali jihadist at the height of the war on terror.
