የዓድዋ ሰዎች በኤርትራውያን ላይ ያላቸው ስር የሰደደ የበታችነት ስሜት ነው የምንጠላው እንጂ እነሱን አንጠላቸውም። ኡኔ ለምሳሌ የዓድዋ ተወላጁ ዎንድሜ Meleketን አልጠላውም። የበታችነት ስሜቱና ባንዳነቱ ሳይ ግን ያቅለሸልሸኛል።
