When Abiy Ahmed came to power there was a highly overcharged environment that could have exploded at any time t, Ethiopia was at a brink of total collapse. Many of those who are trying to lecture us from their comfort zones today about "the danger the country is facing" were watching from distance and enjoying the show. Morally corrupt, renegades.

We don't have an ideal place today as well but taking into consideration what we have been through all the last number of years, the country is spared by a miracle. Many might have a role, but the role the reconciliatory PM played during his over 3 years of office time in achieving this can't be overseen if we were ever fair.

Ethiopia didn't only survive the onslaught but is also thriving, will flourish on the global stage in due time.

You want a specific name but that is not practical! The following is my recommendation about the change process in phases.By the way I am very willing to discuss and learn!

-. Phase 1 is establishing a temporary military government( with time span only for 3 months/ no option to extend ) is led by one of the current generals in the Ethiopian Defence Forces . Abiy has to be given two options:
- Option 1- to step down voluntarily and apologize the Ethiopian people for his mistakes and allowed to go out of Ethiopia
- Option 2 - If he cannot step down voluntarily to be arrested and face justice

- Phase 2 Reconcilation and establishing a civil temporary government( with time span between 6 to 9 months/no option to extend) by involving all armed groups such as OLA, Fano, TPLF , existing parties, including PP( with out Abiy) etc

- Phase 3 Conduct democratic election and establish an elected government( within a maximum of one year after removal of Abiy). Once an elected government is el
Established any issues/concerns by any armed or non- armed party to be resolved through negotiation in line to the constitution.

- Phase 4: Conduct election every four years but no individual should be allowed to stay in power for more than two terms( 8 years)

It is not going to be an easy process but no option than to hold the bull by it's horn to save Ethiopia.

As we said several times, Ethiopian needs a transitional government that will help as bridge to move on from this idiotic Ethnic Federalism to a true regional Federalism based on individual right (in other words Democracy). Always remember Democracy is based on individual freedom.
Abiye must go. Too much of a job for him. Under his rule, 4 years is a long time, the country is chaotic and very unstable.
However, if he leaves peacefully and responsibly, he should be given a golden parachute. A fat pension, budget and protection for life as long as he stayed out of politics.

Re read my response. As I said that is a lazy argument devoid of any substance. I can give you a list of names which basically doesn’t mean anything. It is not about individual figures. No body recognizes the name Abiye 4 years ago. I know, what your looking for is for the list of names so that you can change the narratives of comparing people based on one one ethnic group vs the other.

In my view a transitional government that will last a few years must be formed. It is mandate will be to create a bridge to transform the nation out of ethnic federalism. The mother of all troubles in today’s Ethiopia is ethnic federalism. First we have to agree on that and worry about names later. When the level field equal to every citizens then ideas and holder of those ideas will flourish.

Just forget about Ethiopia because Ethiopians have risen up and crushed the arrogant tplf aggressors, showing them the right way of cutting their trousers according to their own sizes and then after that treating themselves and others as equals and proportionately.

The 27 years of too much bragging and high sky hugging rituals are over because Ethiopians have come out and elected their leader and the government in a free and fair election, never seen and never heard in 3000 years of Ethiopians history.

So please be kind and forget about your day dreams concerning your street corner gangs becoming some sort of leaders just like the past dark days when the tplf assumed power in the middle of the darkness.
