Germany would like a good relationship with Ethiopia, but the Tigray crisis is straining ties. Berlin has relied on diplomacy to push for peace, yet some say that is not enough.
A call from German Chancellor Angela Merkel is bound to be about something important. When she called Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed in early February this year, for example, she stressed how vital it was to find a peaceful resolution to the Tigray conflict, according to her spokesman, Steffen Seibert. The German leader also said civilians caught up in the fighting must receive humanitarian assistance.
Merkel's call was the biggest indication of Germany's concern about the crisis so far, though in late November, just weeks after fighting began, Foreign Minister Heiko Maas met with his counterpart in Berlin to discuss what was happening in Tigray. At the time, Maas called the suffering "shocking" and demanded that "crimes against the civilian population be investigated and those guilty of them held accountable."
Humanitarian catastrophe
None of these appeals has so far helped deescalate the conflict. On the contrary, the situation in the crisis region has deteriorated further. What began in November 2020 as a short military intervention against the Tigray People's Liberation Front (TPLF) has since developed into a protracted regional conflict.

Ethiopia is at a crossroads. I want Ethiopia to peacefully resolve the Tigray War and allow all civilians caught up in the conflict to get humanitarian assistance to keep the "reform status". I don't think the Eritrean Way is the only way out. There are two choices: 1, the Eritrean way 2, the peaceful / negotiated way.
Everybody knows that the Eritrean way has led Eritrea to be one of the very poorest countries in the world. The population should have reached 10 million by now but it is still 3.6 million.
The Amhara elite would want Abiy to choose the Eritrean way which leads to what some call Megdela II. What do the other Ethiopians want Abiy to choose? What do the rest of Ethiopia gain by paying heavy economic and human costs for the next 30 years for Amhara region to annex Western Tigray? That is the question.

Why would non-Amhara Ethios be OK with paying economic and human costs indefinitely for Amhara to annex Western Tigray?

Indefinitely ? Not really. TPLF will be history in a few months, if not weeks. Once those who waged war against Ethiopia are apprehended, and the Ethiopian government has full control of Tigray, the law of the land will be applicable to resolve any issue. The Ethiopian parliament will decide about the issue in question.
I have noticed that some even well informed ER members seemed to have assumed Tigray as an independent entity. No, it is part of Ethiopia. The Ethiopia law applies in Tigray.
Before we are talking about internal border disputes let us bring those who caused thousands of young kids to be killed, and caused economic shock to the country face justice. It is almost time that helicopter to bring some … to Addis.
Those who betrayed Ethiopia should pay the price.

Sarcasm the idiot, the other Ethio ethnic are killing and destroying you not because of the Amhara territories you stole from Amhara. It is because they all call Ethiopia as their home, unlike you I might add and they all want Etiopia's territories stays Ethiopian. If they don't and if you cowards declare your independence, there might be a very tiny chance you could still claim the terrorists as yours.
Deceitful agame, what you indirectly doing is to hoodwink the other ethio ethnic groups to be idel and you could have chance to beat the courageous fans.
I mean, why would you care if other Ethiopians fu*ck you a*ss? The bottom line is....the same result. Whether the fans alone or all collectively kill you, it is killing you.
And that is the mission.
Stop making stupid lame excuses to beg to get bailed out.
Before you are forced to align with Ethiopia, it is better you do it ASAP before a million of agame rats perish for no agenda at all.

Is there something I missed here, retard!? The last time I checked Wolakait was under your control prior to your murderous rampage against the Federaly army on that unfateful night- the same army who had been protecting you with its lives/resources from the Eritreans wrath for two decades......
So how is that the 'Western Tigray' card invoked as casus belli for the unimaginable destruction your stupidity caused and the crimes you have committed !? God!

Ethiopians have started asking fundamental questions . . . .

Ethiopia, subsidizing the unconstitutional Amhara agenda is now a pariah state at the verge of collapse.
Yet, these psychotic vermin parasites turn around and blame us for the same problem they caused, and have vehemently refused to make any amends.
Truth is, the minute Welqait is restored, the hard currency situation will reverse but not untill then.
So why do we keep suffering for the parasites excess gains?
