Ethiopia: Abiy Ahmed’s Choices – Negotiation or Calamity!

Post by Aba » 24 Jul 2021, 16:46

Published 4 hours ago on July 24, 2021

By The Elephant

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed’s dramatic move to recentralise governance in Ethiopia has an old and predictable logic to it. Eritrea’s leader Isias Afwerki has pushed for it as well. But it has meant Ahmed abrogating the Ethiopian constitution and shredding the underlying political contract between elites from the different regions of Ethiopia. It immediately led to war with Tigray that has literally collapsed Ethiopia’s once-mighty military machine. As July ends the Prime Minister has been forced into the dangerous move of mobilising ethnic militias. Matt Bryden argues the only way out is negotiation.

Obbo Abiy didn't learn from Obbo Mengistu- forced conscriptions only delay the inevitable, i.e. defeat and collapse of the regime.
The question is: what will take its place? will a pp member take power instead? i am hearing that, they are trying to bring lamma magarsa back to the forefront, so we shall see what that entails.

Of all those I recommend Plaut and Tronvoll to switch profession : these two guys, I am certain, could excel in comedy.

The filthy agames and their terrorist shifta woyand can say all the bull crap, but I am 100% certain that they have no formidable tigray militia.
And if they are and we are to believe they can reach all the way to Djibouti area to block the roads, first only a dumb a*ss will believe that is even possible with no logistics. Secondly only low IQ military generals would commit suicide by getting far away from tigray's hide out holes and get exposed to the Ethiopian fighter jets.
Man, how idiots are the ones who take the lies and fake sh*its these digital woyanes are spreading as serious or credible?
They can't even walk to Humera and the other villages or towns they claimed they lost to their Amhara masters, and to take their claim that they are in a location far, far away from tigray.....Djibouti is laughable.
Man, use your freaking brains, use logic, use common sense. The coward, funfunat aliet, ungrateful agames are dead.
Because the Ethio govt adopted to not talk (but act) as Shaebia doesn't mean that some of you dumb a"sses have to believe what you hear from the digital woyanes.

Logistics, logistics, common sense, common sense.

I read today in this site that getachew reda was worried about Ethiopia why PMAA is waiting untill tplf reaches Addis, why is PMAA willing to let ethio troops get killed in the process.
LOL.
Man, these agames are very predictable.
Isn't their agenda to see Ethiopia to get in trouble so much so they want it disintegrated? So, why all of a sudden worry about Ethiopia or Ethiopias wellbeing? Why just not shut the fu&ck up and quietly reach Addis?
Well, I call getachew reda's childish, agames reverse psychology A CRY FOR HELP.

Some 90% of Ethiopians support Dr. Abiy as they have clearly demonstrated in their current voting behaviors. Even OLF leaders said that they strongly support and accept the current election even if they did not have the opportunity and the chance to take part in the election this time. They think that the groundwork and the base has already been established and that makes the future very bright for all concerned, including themselves. And they are 100% correct!

Tplf and its camouflaged Trojan horses have already expired and waiting to melt away slowly but surely. Our young people should fight for Ethiopia anywhere in Ethiopia much before all of those hidden enemies come to knock at their doors.

What is the BIG DEAL here talking about Mengistu era endlessly when we know that gallant Oromo patriots like general Abdisaa Aga have been fighting non stop in several battles, multiple fronts and two continents, finally crushing the over armed, over fed and over drunk aggressive fascist invaders and sending them back to where they came with their dirty cursed tails between their cursed legs.

If general Abdisa Aga can plan, organize, command, fight and defeat a large world class modern European army on European land escape under European sky, why can't the brave Oromo youth able to fight trouble making vandals and law breakers in Ethiopia and through that make their country and their communities safe and secure for ever?
YES THEY CAN!

YES THEY CAN!

Obbo Sun,

Let's be honest here: you are exaggerating in regards to the support that Obbo Abiy has in the country. I am sure, he has a lot of support in Amhara state, in Addis Ababa/Finfinne, while in the rest of the country, it's not so clear. He arrested and neutralized, by force, any credible opposition in Oromia, so of course he'd win there; who else did they have to vote for? No one.
It's like saying, if you have two choices on a test, that are the same, and you HAVE to pick one, and then you proceed to pick one, that you had ''free choice.''
Which OLF leaders? Dawud Ibsa, who had an office in Addis, peacefully working, until he was targeted too; despite the fact that he's not commander of any armed wing?

If you support Abiy, because you see him and his government, with their flaws, and all, as the only thing keeping Ethiopia from collapsing- then fair enough, I too, would back Abiy, over having no government at all. It's the lesser of two evils theory/concept.
An essential principle in my religion, is that, a dictatorship for 60 years, is better than having no government [all out chaos] for even a DAY/NIGHT.
Fair, enough there.
Just couldn't help but be baffled when I saw Oromo mothers cry as the PP cadres took Oromo youth by force, to go train.
Were those mothers consulted? Were they educated as to how this is a national threat-if that's the case?!

If TPLF's endgame/goal is to attain their lost power, then this should be made clear to those being forcefully recruited and sent to the frontlines/or to train, to eventually be sent there. An educated soldier, and motivated one, is essential for victory.
Like everything else in life, if you are motivated to do something, determined to do it, and believe in the cause, you will do better and be efficient at whatever it is you're doing, even if it's something as simple as Making Injera on a Mitad and making delicious Doro Wat and Salata. 8)

Well, why is the title of the post modified to "to join TPLF" from the original that says "to join Ethiopian army"?

Still the hand of Dawit Woldegiyorgis swinging its fingers to write down the short phrases?
