The Ethiopian government has the absolute right and responsibility of protecting its citizens who are leaving in its sovereign territory. In this, right and responsibility, the collective wellbeing of all Ethiopians precede the local or regional interest.
As we know in the past 27 the TPLF revolutionary democracy divided the country along the ethnic line and impoverished some regions and created mistrust among Ethiopians in order to protect the Tigre region. This policy was brought forward under the wrong precondition of regions that bear major casualties the war between Ethiopian and Eritrea war to be developed first.
With this pretext, TPLF impoverished looted and took the natural resources from other Ethiopian regions to enrich themselves. The Tigre people collaborated with TPLF and took advantage of the draconian law and benefited at the expense of other none Tigre Ethiopians. Especially created regional governments based on bloodlines, which were the old colonial divide and rule policy. This policy is the root cause of current mistrust among other none Tigre Ethiopians.
However, with the eradication of the TPLF junta, Ethiopia should abandon the backward and anti-development tribal division. we have to give preceding to the collective wellbeing of the country as a whole. Until democratically elected parliament is established, If regional policies are forwarding their policy while guaranteeing these collective well being we shouldn't have any problem. however, if the regional policies are found to be hindering the general well being Ethiopians then collective well-being should take precedence.
In the current situation, there is no law that says one region is should be governed by its own regional ethnics only. For example, Tigre took by force Wolqaiyet and Tegede by and put them under the Tigre administration but they are Amhara in ethnicity. That means they can take the administration from Tigre or in the other option the Government of Ethiopia can appoint any Ethiopian to govern Tigre. Tigre is not reserved for Tigre only this must be understood whether they like it or not, that is what ENDF is doing. Even Abiy can put Tigre under military administration if they continue to disrupt the peace process. TPLF has been in Addis Ababa now we defeated them it is only fair especially for Tigre peoples to experience the just Amharan governance for once.
In short, it should not be Tigre only as long us we librated them then anyone can be thee governer of cursed land Tigre if they want. That is the next step no appeasement for the Tigre people. Losers are under the mercy of the winner on their cultural game. we beat them even if they have the home advantage of rocky caves.

I want to add something, Tigre always miss understood or they are still in denial because ENDF was not brute enough to their level of cruelty.
Even if that is the case, our fathers fought in Adwa for the same love of freedom and equality. Tigre is our land since our fathers spilled their blood and protected it. Yes. it is moral and democratic value to let regional govern themselves by creating their regional government but That government must be in sync with the Majority rule of the nation. For example, one regional government can not declare Apartheid, sharia, or an environment that other Ethiopians can't live in that region safely or fairly that is not approved by the broad majority as the rogue so-called regional government TPLF did. If a region tried to implement sharia or apartheid or something like that then it makes that region a rogue region and will be dealt with accordingly in order to safeguard the majority interest and freedom. That is what just happened in Tigre. TPLF was eliminated by collective armed force in order to protect Ethiopian interest in Tigre and of course, Tigre's under the TPLF's brutal administration

I have to disagree with you on this one. If Ethiopia does not get out of this revenge factor, Ethiopia will be done. The Ethnic federalism itself is created because of the suspicion of the Amhara domination of the past. It still lingers on other none amhara ethnic groups. The weyanes avenged on the amhara. The Oromos view with strong suspicion about the amhara domination. Some amharas want to pay back to the Tigrayans, where does it stop ? I say forget and move on. Understand one another and create a system that makes the country viable and prosperous.
I have to disagree with you on this one. If Ethiopia does not get out of this revenge factor, Ethiopia will be done. The Ethnic federalism itself is created because of the suspicion of the Amhara domination of the past. It still lingers on other none amhara ethnic groups. The weyanes avenged on the amhara.
