Red are you willing to sell your Ethiopianism and assume Eritrean citizenship, saluting only the Eritrean flag and national anthem?
LOL.
If you are then you have no pride, dignity and you hate to be called Ethiopian.
Read between the fine lines.
Good, respecting neighboring countries is what Eritrea is working while keeping its territorial integrity and its sovereignty.
Any one who has problem with Eritreanism, can go and fu*ck themselves who ever they are.

A very informative show & activist, especially the first 75% of it.

Now to the Eritrean issue, & the mistake in perception the activist has fallen into.

First of all, if Eritrea is free from foreign forces establishing bases on its Red Sea Coast it's because Eritrea chose that policy. A policy of real Independence. If Ethiopia now happens to feel less suffocated because of that, then Ethiopia needs to acknowledge that fact. One can say the same thing on his assesement of the weyane & how horrible they've been for Ethiopia & Ethiopians, because he likewise needs to acknowledge the fact that the junta has been a decades old nightmare for Eritrea & Eritreans too. Then & only then, can we begin to come to an understanding. But if he can't even bring it upon himself to say- ERITREA- without pretending to search for the word in his mind, we aren't going anywhere.

Having an Ethiopian navy or not, is a secondary issue. We can guard our coast by ourselves like we've been doing thank you very much, but if we're to cooperate, then the basic respect brother cigar mentioned (for Eritrea's sovereignty) is the absolute requirement. I hope that activist, reads our message.

This saga reminds me what President Eisenhauer's warning of the military–industrial complex was. It was a driving factor behind this relationship between the government and defense-minded corporations is that both sides benefit— Abbiy has said openly that Ethiopia will never disintegrate, he even added that those who seceded will return   Eritrea is the only one that did. Back in 1998, after the war, the Eritrean government blamed the war on too much complexity with Ethiopia. At the time, Eritrea warned tiny Djibouti about that complexity. Well, Eritrea and Ethiopia are operating almost like one country when it comes dealing with Ethiopian problem. Weyane deserves what happened to it. Don't get me wrong on that one. But, don't tell me that Ethiopians perhaps even Abbiy are not thinking about bringing Eritrea in one form or another. Check the Ethiopian media. Eritrean in the opposition are worried sick to the point of where some are backing the ugly TPLF, at least in spirit to come to power. Eritrean governmental cadres are backing the government for many reasons. Some amiches are really vengiful for what happened to their parents. You can't blame them. Weyane stole some $49,000,000,00 from them. Some are backing the government for they believe Isayas was the sole reason Eritrea became independent, hence the super man. Others, their heart is with Ethiopia. They believe Isayas will deal Eritrea in fancy plates. They are not really Eritrean. Tarik and Roha come to mind. It really is complex. At the very end, if Isayas motive is keep Eritrea safe and independent, I will back him, though he has been doing it the wrong way for the last thirty years. Yes, some of us are worried sick, and some Ethiopians like Syoum, S_egera and many others such as Andargachew, some form ISAT, others from 360 are hoping that the old Ethiopia is on the horizon.

We Eritreans acknowledge that the West have a guilty conscience because they masterminded the unlawful marriage between Eritrea and Ethiopia by manipulating the UN and abusing their Veto Power in the Security Council when they forced Eritrea to be federated with Ethiopia in 1952. Further, they watched Ethiopia violate the federal system, subjugate, and massacre the Eritrean people in silence, and ignored Eritrea’s military struggle for independence for three decades. To add insult to injury, they have failed to implement the final and binding ruling of the EEBC.

We also recognize some idiot Ethiopian politicians & activists' obsession regarding Eritrea. It is evident that these people should have swallowed is that against all the odds, Eritrea achieved its independence militarily in 1991, and after exercising its basic human right of self-determination through a referendum in 1993; Ethiopians and the West were legally forced to recognize Eritrea’s independence. However, some politicians & activists have not yet recognized Eritrea’s independence psychologically and emotionally and 29 years on they are still obsessed with Eritrea.

All attempts to reverse Eritrea’s independence by employing various methods such as divide and rule, demanding western-style multiparty democracy and free press, institutionalizing dependency and corruption through aid, intimidation, bullying, diplomatic isolation, sanctions, economic sabotage, inciting neighboring countries to initiate border conflicts, etc have failed miserably.

The Government of Eritrea is fully focused and determined to safeguard the national security, promote social justice, and achieve food security and holistic development based on its Golden Principle – ‘Political and Economic Independence’. Any seasonal or cyclical issues, problems, and conflicts at the local, regional and global level will not derail the Government from the pursuit of its original and pragmatic social, political and economic policies in honor of the Eritrean martyrs who paid the ultimate price to achieve Eritrea’s independence and safeguard its sovereignty.

No matter what fairytales & dreams are being written or echoed, the nation of Eritrea will continue on its path. I would also like to leave you with this timeless message from an interview with the former EDF Minister Gen. Sebaht Efrem.
We cannot make drama and hysteria like the Weyanes, so there's no reason to try. We are not liars and we don't have access to international newsagents, because our cause does not interest international news agencies. So when they make noise by ringing the church bell we can just look at it knowing that the movement of the bell going back in forth will stop sooner or later and when it does, we will either talk if it benefits us and if it's irrelevant we will just watch the issue die.

In this day and age, Egypt doesn't need to use its naval or air force to attack Ethiopia when the target country is a fertile ground for domestic treasonous groups willing to sell their souls to foreign powers for crumbs. As the Amharic saying goes: እሾህ በእሾህ ይነቀሳል። I fault Seyoum Teshome for failing to see the ongoing war by other means. Today's wars are not fought by marauding armies, but by other more sophisticated yet brutal and barbaric means of which the principal weapon is the target country's own traitors who are willing to massacre hundreds of people overnight to weaken and destabilize the nation they don't call their own. Here the junta comes to mind.

National unity and inter-ethnic harmony are the most powerful weapons Ethiopia needs to have to defend itself against a foreign enemy trying to exploit the cracks between the 80 plus ethnic groups in the country. If Ethiopia fails to unite its people around a common goal and purpose by abolishing the junta's ethnic balkanization arrangement, the end result will be perdition.

I'm an Eritrean and everything said by Kuasmeda below was achieved by our Eritrean unity that is stronger than steel. How else can you explain the extraordinary resolve shown by a small African country that withstood powerful blows from world's super powers for more than half a century, yet survives and thrives against overwhelming odds!

It amazes me every time an Amhara elites open their mouth they vent on declaring war on Eritrea.
Eritrea needs to be ready for the day this war mongers Amhara elites come to power
Please buy some drones, buy the latest military technology, not for a war but for deterrence
Eritrea has no choice but to be armed during peace &/or war, with neighbors like this weakness is invitation for an invasion....
(I personally don’t agree with the Eritrean government policy of save Ethiopia from its children destroying it, but that’s beyond scope of this title...if they want to burn it down let them burn it down)
Israel is developing in a chaotic neighborhood and Eritrea does NOT need stable Ethiopia or Sudan to prosper...

Afdeyu:

I have been saying all along Eritrea does not need Ethiopia to develop and prosper. Eritrea needs Eritreans to develop and prosper.

It is great to have good neighbor relations among countries, but to think Ethiopia's use of Eritrea's Ports as sole and vital Economic resources for Eritrea is wrong. Eritrea can partner with any country it WANTS to generate More revenues from its ports.

There are many options and potentials to use both Port Assab and Port Massawa very profitable for Eritrea specially now that the sanctions have been lifted.

Eritrea needs to develop Strong Government Institutions, Man Power, Rule of Law, Transparency and Democratic Institutions to tap into its natural resources and strategic locations.
