Re: The biggest Airport in Africa. Addis Ababa New Terminal with the capacity of 22 million passengers.

Mekelle International Airport is much more cheaper to get people and goods to Europe, Asia and Middle East. Ethiopia should expand the Mekelle International Airport as it saves time and energy, which will have effect on the environment.

Bole International Airport is OK but if we take Ethiopia as an economic and political unit, we need to choose the most cost effective location to be competitive globally. Please keep your Tigray hate and prejudice to your self. You need to give generations of Ethiopians the opportunity to live in a better way.

I am not sure whether this is good for Ethiopia as a country. We need to have more international airports. From the location point of view, Mekelle International Airport is much better and cheaper in the long run. In the future, air travel will be cheaper like 50 dollars or less to Europe, if airports close to Europe are expanded. Afar's Semera is also an alternative. Addis Ababa Airport is only useful for visitors to Addis Ababa and not for business. It is simply not cost-effective. Cargo and mass tourism should be served via Mekelle International Airport.

Mekele is a useless city unless of course you want to invite your Muslim Brotherhood bodies to Wukro.

We do not need Muslim Brotherhood in Ethiopia. We are a liberal society struggling to catch up the advanced nations. But Mekelle has many good points. Above all, it close to Europe and Asia. The Cargo flights or part of them where tones need to be transported should be based in Mekelle.

Ethiopia might feed the world. Mekelle is the ideal gateway to Europe and Asia through which Ethiopia's agriccultural products (organic food) can be transported). Location is important. Addis Ababa is far from the main air traffic. Why waste 1-2 hours of your life to travel from Addis Ababa whereas you can travel from Mekelle cheaper and quicker (saving your time for pleasure or business).

Ethiopia needs to expand the Mekelle International Airport. There should be new 5-star international hotels and other facilities. Some business could be based in Mekelle ( manufacturing, chemical industry, logistics etc).

Mekelle is attractive for tourism. NOT FAR FROM Mekelle are Rockhewn churches in the mountains. In Mekele City, Yohannes IV Palace which has a unique architecture and the King's Field, a large areawith grass and lemon trees just below the palace. We have also Abraha Castle. a few kilometers away from the palace. Yeha , Aksum and Adwa is just 120km away from Mekelle. There is also the beautiful Tembien District. Towns like Hintalo are very historical etc etc
