Biased! Kenyan VS Ethiopian VS Somali Food! (East African Street Food & Restaurants)

Post by Abaymado » 06 Sep 2020, 08:42

when did Somali have their own Injera? Somalis are competing with Ethiopia with stolen Injera and imported food preparation technique from West. And claiming the best. this is nonsense. by the way who made this የቻየይና ቦቸራ the judge?
probably the Ethiopian stew might not well prepared, and i am feeling that Ethiopian's 'shiro wat' should not be categorized in the competition. this is not meant for foreigners.

There is no Ethiopia food, it is Tigray food and Gurage food. What is Amhara food??? Ethiopia name is the cover or hiding place for Amharu deficiencies.

Injera comes from Teff and Amhara has the best teff and Amhara Kilil is home to the ancient pure Teff this creating injera which was something Menelik shared to Oromos in 19th century Aswell it was traded to Agames and Tigrinyas long time ago and the Somalis also got it from Amhara from Adal sultan. There is no injera without Teff and there is no Teff without amhara soil period  Kebab Tarik go invade Tel Aviv WEEY GUUD! AbushinaLady tegaru t’ranny shamed Adwan Lady you must be so insecure about being a kimilam Tigreway :P

Agaaame's lady : tell us about this somali's injera. All we know that this somali injera doesn't work without yeast. So that means that it is just a product of western product. There is no credible information on whether yeast exist for millennia in Somalia. But contrary to this, Ethiopia knew how to make yeast traditionally for more than hundred years. Somali's injera is the recent phenomena.

https://thephoenixofsomalia.wordpress.c ... 15/laxoox/

This traditional Somali breakfast food is a bit weird, although not quite as weird as it looks written down: laxoox. Pronounced “la-hoh” (with the “X” serving as a throaty H in Somali), this pancake-like flat bread makes for a filling breakfast. For 3,500 shillings ($.58), we were each brought 4 pancakes and a cup of super sweet tea.

Laxoox is similar to the Ethiopian bread injera, except that it is smaller and thinner, so that you are served several of them stacked together on a plate like pancakes or crepes. Laxoox is made from wheat flour, yeast, and water; it tastes a tad yeasty and sour like injera, but much less so, especially since it is served sweet, with melted [deleted] or sweet tea poured on top.

Yes, they pour their tea directly on top of the laxoox to sweeten it! Personally, I preferred to just sprinkle sugar on top.

Laxoox is usually only available at eateries early in the morning, so if you want it, get up in time! The early bird gets the laxoox.

Teff??? It is hereditary for agames to lie. I can load tonnes of videos on somali's Injera.
Here is the preparation of Somali's injera:

As you can see Somali's Injera need only 30 minute preparation. But Ethiopian's Injera takes at least days to week starting with preparation of the yeast suitable for Ethiopian's Injera from Teff.

Historically, these regions Sudan and Egyptians (non Arabs) were part of ancient Egypt who created the world civilization on earth. There was no difference at that time they ruled. Eventually, religion and colonization and domination separated these regions. So sharing Injera originated in Ethiopia and spread to Sudan and Somalia. The main center of Egyptian civilization was in Ethiopia. Most Kenyan and Somalian food is copy from colonization that Sambosa was inherited from British Indians working for colonization. Kenyan and Somalian food is what everybody familiar with rice, beef, chapati, sambosa etc. What makes Ethiopia different is it has its own unique dish that is not copied. The arrogant African American, the Korean knows more about Ethiopia than the African American he is trying to down play ethiopian food.

The ethnic fanatics are going to destroy the traditional Ethiopian everything, check out, the Korean guy said Injera is Ethiopian then the african american guy said, include Eritrea too. So Eritrea is trying to bury Ethiopia for a long time.one can see what is happening in the West. Ethiopians are no longer seen, they are not advancing, they are not influencing internationally they hide. The Weekend Abel became internationally well known in Western singing, Shabia and Tplf quickly crated boring woman singer with R&B song in Canada too in order to bury The Weekend Abel. Their forieng boss advice them to be more visible than Ethiopia because the foreigners are trying to snatch the Nile.

The usual empty bravado, Do you have any proof to back up your claims?
Injera originated in Ethiopia.
It's not true, injera did not originate in Ethiopia, It originated in Somalia.
The main center of Egyptian civilization was in Ethiopia.
You are clinically delusional, back then, there was no such place or nation called Ethiopia, As we all know, Ethiopia is a creation of the European colonialism.
Most Kenyan and Somalian Somali food is copy from colonization that Sambosa was inherited from British Indians working for colonization.
You are wrapped up in blatant lies, Sambosa originally had its origin from Somalia.
What makes Ethiopia different is it has its own unique dish that is not copied.
And so does everyone else, Kenya has its own unique 42 different traditional food, while Somalia has its own unique national food that is not copied from miserable Ethiopia, And get this through your head, there is no one Ethiopia, Ethiopia has more than 84 different ethnic groups, 84 different languages with up to 200 different dialects spoken and 84 different traditional food!!

FYI, yeast existed everywhere on earth since the creation of the universe, and the last time I checked Somalis were around for a few good thousand years!

All we know that this somali injera doesn't work without yeast.

Talk only for your as.s and stop embarking other Ethiopians onto your ignorance!

As you’ve only heard of yeast and apparently don’t know exactly what the damn yeast is, let me tell you that yeast is nothing more than what is called a single-celled fungus which is the driving force behind fermentation.

Ethiopia knew how to make yeast traditionally for more than hundred years.
Had you known what the damn yeast was, you wouldn’t have claimed that “Ethiopia knew how to make yeast traditionally for more than hundred years”. Apart from commercially produced yeast, which is harvested by centrifugation, no one makes or creates yeast; it occurs naturally.

Although Louis Pasteur discovered the fermentation process in 1857, fermentation occurs naturally in nature and Egyptians, for instance, used it to make bread some five thousand years ago. But these days there’s also a ready-made yeast, which comes both as active dry yeast and instant yeast, preferred mainly for consistency.

As far as the damn injera is concerned, as a rule of thumb Somalis do not use any ready-made yeast; they seal the mixture in an airtight container and leave the nature do its job for an overnight and even longer most of the time. But in the west, where life rhythm seems hurried, it’s not uncommon to come across some Somalis using a ready-made yeast for time saving purposes. By the same token, while many beer producers around the world are adding yeast to brew beer, a few are still sticking to the traditional method, and neither is better than the other - this is a fact.

You eat your injera, we eat ours – and we’re both happy!

Ridiculous! First of all you don't know about injera, do you? All I know the injera most of the time I saw in the northern Ethiopia especially in Tigray and Eritrea, is not Injera. it is weird injera. In Ethiopia, no one call this injera, it is ambasha. Most of the time it is prepared with sorghum, or any mixture of different cereals- it is not teff. This the so called injera, the fake agame talking about is very much thick. that is why this grasshopper eater complaining about having pain in his stomach. Don't deal with the second hand Injera;
