This is what is sad, at the time people are starving and don't have food, we are copying and pasting other rich countries' method. Yes Ethiopia is not rich enough feed the people, and empower people to protect the country first. Money is important when it is HORIZONTAL not VERTICAL, this means crating only tiny fat cats working with foreigners to hold wealth in the country at the expense of the people. So she is advertising for diaspora for sure not for the people in Ethiopia. Besides, these rich individuals gained wealth under tplf under the blood of the people and empoverishing the poor. Today even the rich countries are having hard time of such few people controlling entire wealth at the expense of the people, these rich created many sub companies to spread their wealth without knowing the entire wealth goes only to the owner of the entire companies he created. He is doing nothing for the country or people to create job, all he does is collect rent period. Such peole are useless and damaging and dangerous to Ethiopia. Should you gain wealth? Yes, but not by greedily amassing wealth at the expense of the poor. If you have wealth empower people but not so that you can control them or use them to attack others, these rich ones also control the government. This will continue to happen unless wealth is scruitinzed and what the purpose is. Gain wealth through hard work and creating and being innovative that benefits societies, even he does no build these buildings it is through sweat and blood of the poor who maybe paid very little to enrich the wealthy. Plus these wealtyh people could be dangerous as they ally with foreign enemies to continue to keep their wealth.

Oddis Oboba or as the Galla call it "Fin Finne" is not safe. No one wants to live with Galla savages. The Galla should be driven out to ther homeland in Kenya. We want a city with Abyssinian tradition. We do not want Africans to live in Oddis Obaba. We are Abyssinians with a long history. Gallas are subhumans.

You sound like a socialist  Addis has the markets for different classes. The demand and supply is not only for the higher class. Building your own house and Real Estate for the higher class and condominium for the middle class. I agree that there is still no real solution for the low class. Btw, Addis has the lowest poverty rate (lower than 30%), 65% of the residents send their children to expensive private schools. Everybody is an entrepreneur, the city is full of entrepreneur spirit and there is always a market for all kinds of housing business. In fact the demand is 1000 times higher than the supply even though buildings are rising like mushrooms allover the city but still can't satisfy the demand.

Anyway, condominium is for the middle income (not real estate), though currently there is a controversy going on around this model.
