The poster reads:
History is repeating itself. Similar posters were up all over Tigray's whorehouses during the 1998-2000 war, when women from Adwa sold their bodies to raise money for the war effort. አየኹም ናይና!

Re: Tourism: Only in Mekelle!
True story:
An illegal immigrant Agame selling sheep in Eritrea during the 1970s had one of his sheep run over by a car, causing the animal to die on the scene. The motorist immediately reported the incident to his insurance company which provided a generous financial compensation to the Agame for his loss, earning him more money than the price of the sheep.
Then a light bulb went on over the Agame's head.
Excited at the prospect of making money from car accidents, he said to himself, "if I can make a lot of money from the death of one of my sheep, I wonder how much money they will give me if the victim is my son?"
He later brought his son from Adwa and pushed him onto incoming traffic, resulting in the tragic death of his 8 year old son. But this time there were several witnesses who saw what happened and he got arrested on murder charges.
