the Amhara were not good guest ... they want to take over once they will come as guest or as invasion army... in both case the Amhara should have learn the oromo culture and be oromized to stay in oromia instead the buda Amhara want the oromo to be Amharanized .... to me all those Amhara who doesnt speak Afan oromia after 150 years ... have no sympathy ... those young under 27 years also should have learned Afan oromia if not then no sympathy ...

More jobs need to be done, but I think sign of trying to reintegrate the disintegrated pieces of great Ethiopia is clearly visible and it should be encouraged in my view.

TPLF spent a lot of effort in trying to disintegrate our country and we started to alienate citizens of the country in their own homeland, alleging they are from different "Killil" (which is in essence an enclave of a given section of our vast people) and we took deep dive with that into a catastrophic scenario in our country.

Now, the remaining "sister" Parties of the overarching EPRDF that ruled the country for nearly 3 decades under the dominance of TPLF are saying it needs to be reverted before causing even more damage and our people need to be reintegrated, we share the same destiny and fate, after all.

This effort needs to be supported if we truly care about our country, in my view.

This thread is about two competing efforts (no more view, but actively strived for efforts) to disintegrate the country on the one hand and reintegrate and mend the damage already caused in this regard on the other hand.

You are from the first camp, as we know your stand for long time on this forum and those actors on the stage of above scenes are the forces of reintegration. So you are trying to make an argument on the false side of the divide, it is better for your to find your side of the divide to make an arguments.

FYI.: all the presidents of regional governments tried to express their message with some sort of Afan Oromo flavor, saying Galatoma (at least).

Looking at the title of the thread, "embracing alien Oromos", I thought Defend was talking about the "extraterrestrial" [ET] Oromos that invaded in the 15th Century, chewing, walking at the same time and finally learning how to ride a horse reaching the present Eritrea! Even Meles has Raya Oromo ancestry from his father's side as written by Prof. Tecola Hagos.

Achameleh Tamiru wrote the whole narrative eloquently on that subject recently in his response to Achalu's calling the leader of the creators of the present Ethiopia proper a "horse thief". I find Acham's narrative based on historical documents respectable and fascinating. Off course such narratives aren't saying other Gosas of Oromos didn't exist in the center of Ethiopia before the great invasion. Shoa Oromos including Menelik's (has Oromo blood in his mother side) may have existed before Jawar & Bekele's family arrived in the 15th century.

Abiy is right by even considering & accepting the other narrative written by Achameleh; "Embracing" while invading is a great concept as well!
Compare that to "destroying" while invading?
