በዋይት ሃውስ ውስጥ ለ11 የአሜሪካ ፕሬዚዳንቶች፣ ለአምስት አስርት አመታት ያህል ያገለገሉት የቀድሞው አስተናጋጅ በ91 አመታቸው በኮሮናቫይረስ ህይወታቸው አለፈ።የቀድሞው አስተናጋጅ ዊልሰን ሩዝቬልት ጀርማን ስራቸውን የጀመሩት በፕሬዚዳንት አይዘንሃወር አስተዳደር በጎርጎሳውያኑ 1957 ነው።
በመጀመሪያ በዋይት ሃውስ ውስጥ በፅዳት አገልግሎት ተቀጥረው ይሰሩ የነበረ ሲሆን የቀድሞዋ ቀዳማዊት እመቤት ጃኪ ኬኔዲ ወደ አስተናጋጅነት አሳደገቻቸው።
በዋይት ሃውስ ውስጥ ለመጨረሻ ጊዜ ያገለገሉት በፕሬዚዳንት ባራክ ኦባማ የስልጣን ዘመን ሲሆን፤ የአስተናጋጆችም ኃላፊ ተደርገው ነበር።
"ማንኛውንም ሰው ለማገልገል ቅን ነበር፤ እንዲሁም የሚወዳትን ሃገሩን ለማገልገል የነበረው ፍላጎት ከምንም በላይ ነው፤ ለሰዎችም የነበረው ፍቅር ጥልቅ ነው። ቸር የሆነ መንፈስ ነበረው እሱንም ጥሎልን አልፏል" በማለት የቀድሞዋ ቀዳማዊት እመቤት ሚሸል ኦባማ ተናግረዋል።

የኦክስፎርድ ዩኒቨርስቲ በሚያደርገው የክትባት ሙከራ ላይ በሁለተኛው ዙር ሕፃናትና አረጋውያን ሊካተቱ ነው።
የመጀመሪያው ዙር ሙከራ የተደረገው በሚያዚያ ወር ላይ ሲሆን በወቅቱ በሙከራው የተካተቱት እድሜያቸው ከ55 ዓመት በታች የሆኑት ብቻ ነበሩ።
አሁን እድሜያቸው ከ70 በላይ የሆነና ከአምስት እስከ 12 የሚሆኑ ከ10ሺህ በላይ ሰዎች የሚሳተፉ ሲሆን በመከላከል አቅማቸው ላይ ያለው ለውጥም ይፈተሻል ተብሏል።
የዩናይትድ ኪንግደም መንግሥት ምርምሩ የሚሳካ ከሆነ በመስከረም ወር 30 ሚሊዮን ክትባቶች ዝግጁ ይሆናሉ ሲል ተናግሯል።
በክትባቱ ላይ መንግሥት 131 ሚሊየን ፓውንድ የመደበ ሲሆን ግዙፉ የመድሃኒት አምራች አስትራዜኔካ ለማምረት ተስማምቷል።

Addis Ababa becomes transit hub as richer nations compete aggressively for scarce kit

Ethiopia has emerged as a key transit hub for the shipment of much sought-after medical equipment to Latin America, as poorer countries complain they are being muscled out of the market by richer nations and their cargo seized during refuelling stops in Europe and the US.

Authorities in the impoverished north-eastern Brazilian state of Maranhão switched to Ethiopia after they saw two cargoes of respirators purchased from China seized during refuelling stops in Europe and the US.

The Brazilian federal government, a strong ally of the current US administration, has said it was also considering using Addis Ababa as a transit hub.
