Honorable Eritrea-Firsters whom Justice-Loving Eritreans should emulate

Post by Eripoblikan » 11 Apr 2020, 12:59

Ibrahim Affa

Ibrahim was a renowned military strategist who played an instrumental role in rebuffing Derg's unending barrage of offensives. His integrity made him a target of the conniving Isaias and probably led to his untimely death at the hands of the secret terror cells run by the tyrant of Adi Halo.

Here is some lead info about his death:

Bitweded Abraha

Bitweded was a brave division commander who played a key role in liberating Assab. He was wary of Isaias's reckless closeness to Meles and was adamant that Isaias deal with the TPLF in a transparent matter. Bitweded was also said to have wanted Isaias play a neutral mediator to the wrangles between the TPLF and OLF in the transition period after the fall of the Dergue.

Needless to say, if Bitweded's advice were heeded, we probably would never have had the costly border conflict and TPLF itself would not have been in the current weak position because it decided to go with with the hastily-assembled satellite OPDO instead of dealing with the popular OLF.

Mahmoud Sherifo

Mahmoud Ahmed Sherifo, commonly known simply as Sherifo, served briefly as the Head of State of Eritrea while the President was away. He joined the Eritrean Liberation Front in 1967. He was an independent activist during Eritrea's war of independence from Ethiopia.

Considering Sherifo's humility and his sympathy for the average man on the street, he probably would have been a much better leader than the current one resulting in a humane state of affairs with few Eritreans crossing the arid Sahara desert and the rough waters of the Mediterranean Sea.

Petros Solomon

Petros Solomon is an Eritrean politician. He was an Eritrean People's Liberation Front commander during the Eritrean War of Independence, and following independence he served in several positions in the Cabinet, including Minister of Defense and Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Petros came up with the vision of turning Eritrea into Singapore after he and Ermias "Papayo" Debesai visited the Far East whilst Isaias was day-dreaming about the clumsy Maoist China that the reformer Deng Xiaoping laboured for decades to dismantle.

Haile "dru'e" Woldetensae

Haile Woldense or Woldetensae is an Eritrean politician. Woldense was born in 1946 and attended High School in Asmara, Eritrea. After graduation, he was accepted to the Addis Ababa University engineering program. There he met Isaias Afewerki and they withdrew from school to join the Eritrean Liberation Front.

Drue was very good at the Foreign Ministry outsmarting the Dedebitan Seyoum Mesfin in diplomatic circles. Once he was imprisoned, the tyrant of Adi Halo become the unwanted leper in US, UN, EU, AU and IGAD meetings.

Mesfin Hagos

Mesfin Hagos was born in Azien, Eritrea in November 21,1947.He was a founding member of the Eritrean People's Liberation Front in 1977. Before founding that organization he had joined the Eritrean Liberation Front in 1966 as an ordinary member. He eventually would become Deputy Commander of ELF Zone 5.

Mesfin was key in diffusing the risky revolt of the fighters right before the declaration of independence in May 1993 by demanding the transitional government muster all its resources to provide a decent standard of life to those who sacrificed hand and limb to liberate Eritrea. This outspokenness made him popular in rank-and-file combatants and was as a result unceremeniously demoted to administer the Southern Region after the doomed Nakfa conference in 1994 that turned the popular EPLF into the blood-sucking PFDJ.

Saleh Kekya

Salih Idris Kekya (alt. Kekia) is an Eritrean politician. He joined EPLF in 1976 and, since independence, has held the following positions: member of the Central Council of PFDJ, member of the National Assembly, Director of the Office of the President, Ambassador to Sudan, Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Transport and Communication, and Mayor of the town of Asseb in 2000.

Saleh Kekya was the one who openly demanded the tyrant lead the nation in a legal and transparent manner or resign gracefully and hand over power to someone better in meetings held at the National Assembly.

I am sorry I was unable to find a photo of such courageous Eritrean. Please assist if you have one.

Osman Saleh Sabbe

Osman Saleh Sabbe was born in 1932 in a village of Hirgigo in the suburb of Massawa. After attending local Islamic school, he joined Hirgigo primary school which was founded by Pasha Saleh Ahmed Kekia in 1944.

Sabbe's superb connections in the Middle East and Africa were very critical in securing food and arms supplies to both the ELF and PLF. Let's hope we get rid of the tyrant quickly and write the history of such glorious Eritreans for future generations.

Oqbe Abraha

Ogbe Abraha (born 1948) is an Eritrean politician. He joined the Eritrean People's Liberation Front (EPLF) in 1972 and, since independence, has held various positions: Chief of Staff of the Eritrean Defence Forces being the most paramount. He's one of only two full generals in Eritrea, the other being Sebhat Ephrem, the former Defense Minister.

Oqbe's dismissal as chief of staff in the midst of the border conflict coupled with the foolish decision to assign the former spy head Petros Solomon to the Fisheries ministry resulted in excruciating losses during the third offensive at the hands of the inexperienced and hastily assembled Wey-ane army.

Berhane Abrehe

Berhane Abrehe is an Eritrean top government official who, since 2001, has been serving as the country's Minister of Finance. In 1972, Berhane Abrehe graduated with a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Berhane's insistence that the government run official audits regularly, being the main thrust of his appointment to the Finance ministry, led to his unofficial freezing. His 2018 book that demanded the government release all prisoners of conscience and disclose publicly where the revenue of the Bisha Gold Mines was spent became the stroke the broke the camel's back and exposed the inept Isaias in the eyes of both supporters and opposition activists.

Elsa Chyrum

Elizabeth (Elsa) Chyrum is the founder and director of Human Rights Concern of Eritrea(HRCE). Affectionately called the Mother Theresa of Eritrea, Elsa has been involved in advocacy work on human rights in Eritrea and Eritrean asylum seekers since 2001.

Elsa has been the target of ferocious series of malicious and unproven accusations by the foot soldiers of the tyrant of Adi Halo ever since she appeared in EU hearings on human rights abuses in Eritrea bravely exposing the horrendous practices of the blood-sucking PFDJ for all the world to see.

Isayas is a Tigray-Ethiopia Firster and Never a Eritrea-Firster!

PART (B)

3.2

ISAYAS AFEWERKI’S ERITREANNESS: MYTH VS. REALITY
3.2.1 A BRIEF TIGREAN/ETHIOPIAN FAMILY BACKGROUND OF THE ERITREAN PRESIDENT THAT THE WORLD SHOULD KNOW

Isayas Afewerki’s father is called Ato Mr./Ato Afewerq Abraha. His mother’s name is Mrs/Woz ADANECH Berhe. Their children are:

1 Ato Amare Afewerq (Afewerki*) (* intended to camouflage Eritreaness)

2 Ato Isayas Afewerq (Afewerki)

3 Ato Amanuel Afewerq

4 Ato Ermias Afewrq

5 Ato Yonas Afewerq

6 Woz. Tsigereda Afewerq

7 Woz. Arian Afewerq(ki)

3.3.2 FAMILY BACKGROUND OF THE ERITREAN PRESIDENT

Isayas’s Father, Mr. AFEWERQ/KI)

is from ADI TANQUA-MILASH/ TEMBIEN and they trace their roots to AGAME AWARAJA OF TIGRAY in Ethiopia.
Isaya’s father used to work in MEKELE, the capital of Tigray Province/Administrative region. Isayas’s father used to work at the Ministry of Land Reform until his retirement. Until he died those who knew him in Tigray used to identify him as "the man who wears a black suit, a black "cravat"/neck tie and a black hat".

Isayas’s Mother

Woz. ADANECH BERHE is from ADWA in Tigray/Ethiopia. This is also the birthplace of the father of Ethiopia’s Prime Minister.
ISAYAS’s uncles (via his father) are:

1 Dejazmatch Solomon Abraha

2 Captain Mekonnen Abraha

3 Ato Hagos Abraha

Dejazmatch Solomon Abraha (Isayas’s cousin) was the Enderassie/Governor of WOLLO province in Ethiopia during the reign of Emperor Haile Sellassie. In 1964 (E.C) the Tigray Cultural group based in Mekele visited Dessie, the Capital City of Wollo after their tour to Asmara. The Governor of Wollo at the time Dejazmatch Solomon Abraha (The Eritrean President’s uncle) in a special dinner organised in their honour expressed his pleasure and gratitude to the Cultural Group for their initiative of popularising the Tigrean folklore music and dances because he told them that he was a Tigrean himself.

Dejazmatch Solomon Abraha also revealed to them that his own mother was from Agame Awraja in Beganta-Afeshum Woreda (Sub-District) in a village called QIL-A-AT" in Tigray/Ethiopia.

Dejazmatch Solomon also told them that his father was from TENBIEN in Tigray/ETHIOPIA.

Navy Captain Mekonnen Abraha was "married" to the daughter of Dejazmatch Ghebray who was a student at Empress Menen School in Addis Ababa and he is believed to have children from her.

Ato Hagos Abraha was one of the student veterans of Teferi Makonnen School in Addis Ababa who also was one of the Goalkeepers of the Ist Division of the same School in the mid 1940s who discontinued his studies due to ill health and later died when he was working at the National Bank in Addis Ababa.

3.3 ISAYAS AFEWERKI’S GRAND PARENTS AND OTHER RELATIVES

Isayas’s Grand mother (on his mother’ s side) is called Woz. Medhin "Berad" and she is from ADWA in Tigray/Ethiopia. She is the brother of Fitewrari Kidane Mesel.

It is also alleged that Fitewrari Kidane is the father of either Ato Kassahun or Ato Yemane Kidane (otherwise known as "JAMAICA") of the TPLF/EPRDF ruling group of Ethiopia. If this is true, it implies that Ato "JAMAICA" and Isayas Afewerki of Eritrea are in a sense brothers by our Eritrean/Ethiopian definition but a cousin in Western sense. It is also said that some of the closest people around Isayas Afewerki also have a Tigrean blood. In short, many of those who are fanatic anti-Ethiopian and anti- Woyanes in Asmara are mainly Tigreans/Ethiopians by origin and those who have had strong links and connections with Tigray in particular and Ethiopia in general.

Isayas’s aunt (i.e. the sister of Isayas’s mother) is called Woz.Hana. She is the wife of Ato Belay. Both Woz. Hana and Ato Belay are from ADWA. It is alleged that their children are living in Sweden.

Isayas’s uncle (on his mother’s side) is married to a woman from Adwa and has a daughter named Woz. Zewdi who is now said to be living in Germany.

From the above information we have received the ONLY "ERITREANNESS" OF ISAYAS AFEWERKI IS THAT HE WAS BORN IN ERITREAN SOIL AND HE IS MARRIED TO WOZ. SABA HAILE OF SHIMEZANA OF ERITREA.

This is a shocking story that will take many years for the true and genuine Eritreans and the blind supporters of this brutal dictator and a communist tyrant. We have no doubt in our minds that these types of new revelations about the family background and roots of the President of Eritrea are beyond belief and extraordinary.

Thus quite to the contrary to the 13-1’s claim of "proud tradition of love of truth" we are sure that Eritreans whose families have sacrificed their loved ones as well as other Eritreans who have in good faith made material and other forms of sacrifices for the last 30 years would describe Isayas’s lie and actions as the most shameful and extra-ordinary betrayals of truth of the century as far as Eritreans are concerned.

Those Eritreans whose families have sacrificed in the last 30 years to keep this evil man in power and who sincerely and genuinely have blindly supported his pseudo Eritrean national identity would find these revelations as a tragic shock for every one.

The reason why we have stated in Part II of our Article of 15 November, 2000 that Isayas is a half Tigrean/Ethiopians is because we did not have enough information about his other half of his parents and we did not want to rush or mislead our people on important matters like this

We like to stress that those who have forwarded us this information are said to be well informed and have an inside information about Isayas Afewerki’s family and relatives. For those who have any doubts about this, we take this opportunity to appeal all Eritreans to make their own investigations and arrive at their own respective conclusions.

Idris Abu’Are
Author and freelance journalist

Idris Abu’Are was known for his critical thinking, his public readings and his seminars on the history of the Eritrean independence struggle, says his friend and fellow journalist Stefanos G Temelso.

After freedom from Ethiopia finally came in 1991, Abu’Are was assigned to the newly established Ministry of Foreign Affairs and alongside his duties regularly contributed to the government-run Arabic daily newspaper, Eritrea al-Haditha.

But over time, Abu’are became increasingly critical of the ministry – and publicly called them out. In a February 2001 issue, he wrote:

The strange thing about the matter is that every time the discontent and contempt resurface, the stubbornness of the ministry grows

Abu’Are later freelanced for the independent newspaper ጽጌናይ (Tsigenay), and published a collection of short stories in Arabic in 1992.

But the writer was soon blacklisted for his ideas by the increasingly nervous government, and was arrested at his home in October 2001 after openly denouncing the arrest of the G-15 group.

Aba’Are is married and has one daughter. He remains in prison.
