"Singapore is a mindset", meaning that the core values and behaviors often associated with Singapore, like a strong emphasis on hard work, human dignity, self-reliance, efficiency, planning, and a focus on collective success, can be applied to any situation or context. It represents a mentality of striving for excellence and continuous improvement, often rooted in the country's history of mobilizing the population for a common cause and purpose, and winning against overwhelming odds.

The similarities between Ethiopia and the Philippines are very striking.

After the United States granted independence to the Philippines on July 4, 1946, ending the American direct colonization of the Asian country, many people believed that the Philippines had the potential to become an Asian Economic Tiger.

But the moment the country's leaders decided to abandon the Filipino people's cultural values and norms, and failed to factor out the variables that contribute to defining their nation when importing a Western style of government, the Filipino people became very confused as a hungry baby in a strip club, or a 1st grader siting through a Harvard university's lecture.

But for the ruling elite who possessed a below average IQ, it gave them a sense of belonging within the wider global community, which prompted them to see themselves not as Asians, but as Westerners tasked with ruling the Filipino people. :P
