You never change. The Ethiopian student movement screwed up Ethiopia’s transition from primitive farming into modern farming by introducing an ill advised land proclamation directly copied from Soviet Russia.
For those who cares, there are numerous books on the subject.

Ethiopia needs a well researched and well thought land reform. That includes land privatization, farming code, housing code, leasing code etc The current system has to be totally overhauled.
Otherwise it is just like putting a lipstick on a pig.

Derg (which basically the elite base is EPRP + MEISON) tried by introducing state farm by nationalization of private farms has failed miserably.

You don’t get it, do you? Unless the fundamentals are in place, there will be no flyby fixation.
