TPLF currently holds 50+1 percent power of in Interim Regional Administration of Tigray (IRA). The two wings of TPLF have to be made to share that part. The other 3 stakeholders, namely the military, Global Society of Tigray Scholars and Professionals (GSTS) or the diaspora, and opposition political party Baytona keep their current shares.
The two wings of TPLF should not be asked to re-unite. They should remain as two separate parties. Therefore, the Tigray Government will be a government of national unity / a coalition made up groups with minority controls, similar to what is happening in South Africa. No group will have 50+1 control.
Tigray is better off with two parties rather than a single big party ruling Tigray election after election. This is a good opportunity for a two-party system in Tigray.
This can only happen if the General Tadesse and his group / the military initiate and facilitate the conversations.
